Iraq Update
The fourth of July marks the half way point for the 475th quarter master group's deployment to Iraq. The 475th visited the third graders in early December before they left for their tour of duty. Mrs. Logan is one of our third grade teachers. Mrs. Logan's brother, Col. Jack Skelly, is commander of this elite team. Their job includes water purification, fuel acquisitions and delivery. When they visited the classrooms, all of the third graders were able to touch, try on some of the clothing, and even taste some of the food the troops would use in Iraq. Many questions were asked and answered. The third graders have been very busy writing to the troops and helping to cheer them up around the holidays. Since deployment, snowmen, valentines and leprechauns were sent to decorate their tents. They also decorated the mess tents and office spaces. They are planning a return visit when they return to the United States. We wish the troops a successful mission and a safe return.
